Started in April 2018 by Dr. Elliott Brender, we now have the Dr. Brender's American Surgical Clinic at the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital.

 

  It's purpose is to improve surgical care in Cambodia by training both American & Cambodian surgeons in the latest surgical techniques.  We see patients every Monday & Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm.  We do not charge for our services.  We provide general surgical care.  Here is a partial list of what we do:

 

Hernias, abdominal problems, cancer, masses, breast masses, neck masses, abdominal pain, appendicitis, gallstones, stomach & liver problems, colon & rectal issues, hemorrhoids, fissures, fistula, abscesses. 

 

An American Junior Surgeon runs the clinic with supervision from the rotating Senior Surgeon and our full time senior surgeon, Dr. Steven Swartz.  Surgeons from University of California Irvine, University of California Los Angeles, University of Southern California, & Cedar Sinai Hospital rotate on a monthly basis.  Patients are seen, evaluated, and surgery performed as appropriate.

 

We have an ongoing dialogue showing our doctors, our clinic, and our cases.  All pictures posted have the patient's permission in compliance with HIPAA rules.
